Chevron is all the rage right now! I wanted to share an easy way to create your own using Hambly Washi tapes today.
Tools you'll need:
a craft mat with measurements
scissors
two rulers
cardstock or patterned paper for background
Hambly Washi Tape #2
Hambly Washi Tape #3
Start by deciding where you'd like to place the chevron pattern on your background cardstock or paper. Lay one ruler at the top of where you'd like the pattern to fall, and one ruler along the bottom edge of where you'd like the pattern to fall. Check the side measurements on the mat to make sure that your rulers are straight.
Tape your first piece of tape to the paper, angling at around a 45 degree angle. Clip with the scissors. Line up the edges at the opposite angle as you move along the page.
I taped the top edge down, pulled a bit off, and clipped, so that I did no measuring except to keep the tape within the rulers that I had placed.
Continue the pattern as far as you'd like along the page. Once the pattern is marked out, you just have to follow for the second row.
Finish by wrapping the edges of washi tape around the backside of the background paper. Top with your photos and embellishments to complete your layout. This really was simple and FUN!
