Hello… I am super excited to be here with my first Hambly blog post. Today I wanted to share with you a very quick Christmas project using wooden blocks. If you have some timber lying about then this project is for you.
“Personalized photo block ornaments” by Leeann
Let get started by grabbing a few supplies together.
Supply list:
- Brocade Blossom HP065,
- Woodgrain HP377,
- Little Circles HP451,
- Doilies R538,
- Doilies R541,
- Stitches R549
Measure the block and cut a strip from the pattern papers. Adhere the paper strip to all the sides. Leave one side for the photo. Once you have adhere all the paper and photo. Use a file to smooth and distress the edges. Then use some decoupage to seal the papers.
Make and drill a small hole in the top of your block.
Place a paper flower on top of the paper cover block and screw the frame eyelet in. Embellish with twine, bell and star.
Make some chipboard buttons using the leftover paper strip. Adhere the leftovers to some raw chipboard, use a circle punch and punch out make two button holes using a crocodile. Thread with twine and adhere to back of block using 3D foam for added dimension.
Finish off your personalized wooden block ornaments by using some doilies rubon’s, stitches, Kraft cardstock sticker snowflakes, buttons and clear pebbles.
Thank you and I hope I have given you some inspiration to go and create. The possibilities are endless with this project!
Cheers
