Banners and Pennants are all the rage lately in scrapbooking and today I wanted to share a couple of ways you can use them on your projects.
First, grab a packet of Hambly Banners & Pennants rubons, they come in assorted colors but I chose the antique white ones.
(Now the golden rule when using any sort of rubon is to cut your desired image or word off the backing sheet. Do not place the entire sheet on your project or you may end up with unwanted images accidently rubbed off. Once you have finished with your rubons always remember to return them to their plastic packaging or what I do is store them in zip lock bags so they don't dry out.)
Now on to some projects....On my first layout I used the gorgeous new Mini Brocade overlay in red...my new fav I think. I then grabbed my sheet of Banner and Pennant rubons and worked some of them onto my layout. For a bit of fun I also added a moustache rub on from the Moustache rubons sheet and some black Washi tape from the #2 set.
For my last two projects I wanted to share some things from my scrapbooking room and how I have altered them with the Banners and Pennants rubons.
Here I have taken a glass jar that I store some ribbons in, I cut out my desired image , placed it on to the curved glass and rubbed with my finger. The image transferred easily!
And finally I wanted to share how easily the rubons transfer to any surface. This is a magnetic board that I can write on with a whiteboard maker. I use it to keep my DT assignments organised.
I simple chose an image from the rubon sheet, held it onto the board and rubbed with a pop stick.
I hope I have given you some ideas for using Banners and Pennants and rubons on your next project.
