Unchain my Heart Crochet/Paper Garland DIY
{note: I used the red and white twine in the diy photos so you can see it better on the white background. For the finished project, white crochet thread was used instead.}
Supplies:
- Hambly Patterned paper
- Heart shaped punch or diecut
- Paper piercer
- Cotton crochet thread
- Size ½ crochet hook
Punch a big pile of hearts from a variety of papers. I chose to use 3 of my favorite colors.
Using the paper piercer, create a small hole to insert the crochet hook through. Make sure you leave enough room so that you won’t break through the edge of the paper.
Using the crochet hook and thread, create your starting loop, and chain 15 stitches. This can be adjusted to fit your taste, of course.
Insert crochet hook through the hole you made in the heart, and single crochet (sc) to attach. Chain 15 stitches, and repeat until you’ve added enough hearts to your garland.
Chain a final 15 stitches and tie off.
