Hello all you wonderful Hambly lovers!! Feeling nice and refreshed after the holidays? I know I am.. feeling creative, and have the urge to create and decorate, but not really sure where to start. So, here is a quick project that combines a bit of creativity and a bit of home decor.. totally on the simple side, instant gratification!! Hoping to kick start some fun projects/crafting.. I find a simple little something is always the best way to get those creative juices flowing!!
I am calling this little project "Hambly Transparencies around the house!"
Step 1 - Gather up some transparencies, and a pair of scissors. Transparencies with easily defined edges that you can cut around probably work best for this. Although, you can get creative with pretty much anything, even using solid paper if you like!
Step 2 - Grab your scissors and start cutting! I was going for a decorative corner look with this one.. something that could easily be added to a frame for a fun dressed up look!
Step 3 - Now that you have your portion of transparency/paper cut out.. go for a walk around the house a find a frame that is yelling "put it here, put it here!" lol I found a large oversized frame in the living room that was perfect for it!
I also found a frame in the dining room that was screaming for some fun lace borders! I cut the strips out of the gold lace transparency and just tucked it into the edges of the tall frame..
LOVE how these dress up the frames and matting so very subtle like!
Next, I headed to my daughter's room with the PINK!! I cut a circle corner out of the pink doily and added it to a frame she has sitting on her dresser.
And now for my favourite one! I used pretty much the entire sheet for this one, trimming off the excess on the one edge, leaving the other 2 sides straight so they line up with the edge of the mirror nicely. I just slid the transparency under the mirror clip, and voila!!
Such a fun accent for the mirror in the kids' bathroom!! ..oh, and please excuse the streaks, I sooo didn't even notice those until I got the pictures on my computer! lol
Step 4 - Sit back and admire your instant home decor! So fun!! I love how easy it can be to add a personal and unique touch to almost any frame or mirror!
Hope you enjoyed today's tutorial! Happy New Year everyone!! :)
What a great post! So simple & inspiring.

I have been reading and looking for articles on the same subject since long, but happily I finally got the information from your article, but unfortunately I came across the article after my project got over.

The booklets are good ways to present ideas to clients. It can do wonders in any campaign, because they allow you to share lots of information about a package that anyone can easily take anywhere.
