Hello! It’s Tiffany with another fun papercrafting tutorial! This time we’re going to be making a Holiday Cracker. I had a friend from England when I was younger and she introduced this fun tradition to our family. This cracker may not “pop”, but it “jingles all the way”!
- Hambly patterned paper 12” x 6” (green Home Decor)
- Strip of coordinating Hambly Paper 3 3/4” x 6” (kraft)
- Hambly Kraft Christmas Stickers
- 3 toilet paper rolls
- 2 lengths of ribbon
- adhesive rhinestones
- two bells
- doily
- scor-tape
- Helmar’s V2 Vellum Adhesive (perfect adhering doilies)
- Treats
Line up the 3 toilet paper rolls on the 12” x 6” piece of Hambly patterned paper and add scor-tape to the center of one side. Tightly wrap the paper around the rolls, securing the scor-tape.
Create a pocket between two of the toilet paper rolls to use as a guide for the ribbon. Remove the end roll and tie the ribbon around one end, adding a bell to the bow. Trim ribbon ends.
Fill with treats, inserting through the open end. Tie ribbon and bow around the end to close Holiday Cracker.
To create the band around the cracker you will need the strip of kraft paper, scor-tape, doily, V2 Vellum Adhesive spray, rhinestones, and stickers.
At this time, add scor-tape to the ends so that the cracker sits upright.
Apply V2 Vellum Adhesive Spray to the doily ensuring full and even coverage.
Adhere doily to center of strip kraft paper, add sticker, and rhinestones.
Add scor-tape to back of prepared band.Wrap around Holiday Cracker.
Voila! You have a Holiday Cracker. It may not “pop” like the traditional crackers, but it sure does jingle!
Fun project!!!
