Hello, it's Larissa Albernaz from the DT here.
I'm so excited to be blogging on the Hambly blog today! I thought I'd present you a tutorial that shows how to do a mask that has some venetian carnival inspiration. You know, maybe I’m too old to go trick-or-treating, but why should the kids have all the fun?
Let's have some fun!
Supplies needed:
Mask and Beak templates
Hot glue
Clear glue
Adhesive
Pencil
Scissors
piece of elastic
White Cardstock
Hambly Flowers and Feathers Rub-On
Hambly Brocade Black on Black paper
Something to decorate your mask:
Laces, trims, blings, sequins, blings, feathers, etc.
Step-by-Step Instructions:
Step 1. First, gather your supplies
Step 2.Print and resize the templates - Dowload the template. Cut along all the solid lines.
Step 3. Next, grab a piece of white cardstock and Hambly Brocade paper, place the template and trace the shape of the mask on both the paper & cardstock. Cut it. Cut out the eyes on the mask too. Do the same for the beak shape. Fold the beak along the dotted lines.
Step 4. Keep on by glueing Hambly Brocade paper to the cardstock to make the mask stronger using Tombow mono Aqua Liquid Glue.
Step 5. Make holes for the elastic, and insert the elastic and tie knots.
Step 6. Apply Hambly Feather Rub-on
Step 7. Continue decorating your mask. Glue the ribbon.
Step 8. Glue the beak to the main part of the mask
Step 9. Finally, glue the blings and feathers. A glue pen works great for the orange sequins.
Step 10. Here it is!
I hope you've enjoyed it. Thank you so much for joining me! This has been so much fun...
See you! Hugs, Larissa
Oh this is awesome! I'll be coming back to this tutorial for Mardi Gras!

Reminds me of those masks the doctors wore to Poveglia Island.
Very cool though, parents definitely should have some fun as well!
