Here's some fun gift tags from Peg. These are so cute to put on the top of presents. I love how she used the Clearly Heavy Overlays for the tag, and embellished it with rub-ons and paper. Here's are some tips she gives to create them.
1. cut the clearly heavy overlays in various rectangular shapes.
2. embellish each with the ornament rub-ons from the Holiday Rubon sheet.
Two directly onto the overlay, and one onto the Brocade paper first.
3. Cut a little strip of white cardstock for the "to" and "from" and finish
with a ribbon
products used :
rub ons - Christmas decor
papers - brocade
clearly heavy overlays
These candy and cookie boxes are made by Mandi, which is a prefect way to hold all the yummy treats everyone bakes this time of year.
I love how Mandi uses the overlays as dividers for the different treats and to line the bottom of each box.
Once all the goodies are gone, you could easily reuse the box for something else!
Mandi said this on her blog about the boxes
"I was so delighted to find shaker boxes for less than a dollar at a craft store. And I'm pretty sure one sleeve of Holiday Rub-Ons from Hambly could decorate about five boxes, or more! Finally, cute holiday boxes are affordable!"
products used :
transparency - grandma's wallpaper
rub ons - Christmas decor

I like that idea for the tags - quick and easy but look nice. Are there any hints for cutting the clear overlays - can I use scissors or a paper cutter? Do I need to do anything special?

I haven't made a lot of gifts this year. (We are madly trying to finish painting/laying a wood floor in the craft/computer room before our Christmas guests arrive!) I did make some cards though--it is killing me not being able to create right now! But our guests must have a bed to sleep in and right now it is covered in drawers and supplies we took out of the other room....
