"Today" Layout & Layered/Shaker Tutorial by Pearl Lui

Hi there! Pearl here to share a layering technique with a "shaker" background. Each time you shake the page, you get a slightly different layout.


You'll need: Hambly Chevron Overlay, Hambly Herringbone Patter Paper, White Cardstock Base, Doily, Tombow - Mono Multi Liquid Glue, Sewing Machine, Sequins and/or Confetti

Then simply follow these steps:
1. Layer the chevron overlay on top of the herringbone pattern paper. Then use a white cardstock to back both layers as you run it through the sewing machine. Stitch only 3 sides leaving a "pocket".


2. Before stitching the last side to close the "pocket", sprinkle a good helping of sequins and confetti. Then finish the 4th side.


3. To create another layer, use rub-ons on the overlay for added depth.


4. Each time you turn this page in your scrapbook, the layout will be different. How fun!
