Shabby chic Hambly covered chipboard
It’s Kim from down under again. Today I would like to share a technique with you- covering raw chipboard pieces with Hambly paper to create a shabby chic feel.
You will need - OLD LACE pattern paper in black, Raw chipboard , craft or wood glue, paint brush. To complete the project you will need GARDEN PARTY pattern paper in black and white, KRAFT CARDSTOCK stickers , CLEAR DOILIES stickersStep 1 Cover your chipboard piece with the craft glue, leaving some spaces on the chipboard clear without any glue.
STEP 2 Cut a shape from the pattern paper slightly bigger than the chipboard shape and glue the chipboard to the back of the pattern paper. Allow to dry.
STEP 3 Once dry, slowly tear and rip away the excess pattern paper from the chipboard leaving some raw chipboard exposed. Ink the edge of the chipboard to make it blend more and to create a shabby feel.
Now since it is near to Valentine’s day I thought I would use my covered chipboard to help complete a heart frame I am going to use in my scraproom.
I hope you find this technique useful and inspiring!
Kim

Thanks for the inspiration, Kim!
