"My Favorite Things"

Here are all the pics from the "My Favorite Things" clear mini book class i just taught.
The size of the book is 6"x6", then i cut the pages on the inside to different widths to give a layered look.

The cover of the book is made from Clearly Heavy Overlays, then embellished with some Elegant Label rub-ons, Urban Chic Frame Overlays and clear Journaling stickers.

We used an assortment of the Fiskars Border punches on the white on white Raffle Leaf paper! The punches just add the perfect touch to the page!

The yellow Frame  Overlay is a clear page, that has pictures floating in the middle. (Make sure the photos are the same size and glued back to back).  The Wings paper also cuts down nicely to make beautiful pages for mini books.

I used the All Mixed Up overlay in white and glued it to the back of the Wings paper. I cut the edge of the overlay along the design to create a nice decorative edge.

The Fleur de Leis tabs you see on both sides are created by using 2 stickers that are symmetrical. These are from the Chandelier Kraft stickers.  Just line them up and stick them together on the edge of the pages- a great way to make an instant tab! For the next page i adhered the Birdcage paper to the gold Heliconia overlay, make sure to use a transparent glue. My favorite is the Tombow Vellum roller.

The brown frame overlay is another clear floating page, with photos on either side. I cut the biggest frame out of the Urban Chic Frame overlays.

For the last page, i ripped off the bottom of the Little Circles paper, and adhered it to another section of the Wings paper. I also added the clear journaling stickers throughout the book. These are so fun to use, and you can write easily on them.

I just have to say that I am even more in love now with Hambly. A year or so ago, I bought a black chandelier transparancy. I didn't know what to do with it, I didn't want to cut it down, I was afraid I would ruin it. We just bought a new house and the windows have the faux pane trim on them. And the 12x12, when cut down to JUST the image, fits perfectly in the middle of the pane! So I now have a black chandelier in the top middle pane of my craft room window. I will have a picture up on my blog by the end of the day, I am so excited! Best $2.00 I spent on room decor!
