studio tour and a giveaway

We are opening up the studio for shopping this Thursday and Friday! (we figured it was a good time since the CK Creative Photography Retreat is going on just a few miles away) 

We will have the new kraft stickers for sale, and well as some of the newest Screen Prints! (just the designs that are printed...birdcages, antique frames wallpaper, and more designs)

They are finally done, and shipping and they look great! So be on the look out for them at your fav LSS or online store. We also have them for sale on our website, and for every online purchase we will also give you some new limited edition papers  (through the end of Aug or while supplies last)!

I took these pictures while they were on press last week. so interesting to see them  as each color is printed, then diecut at the very end of the press.

thanks to everyone who stopped by on friday! we are going to do the same thing and open our studio for shopping and little studio tours Aug 28 -29, 10am- 6pm. This is around the same time as the CPR (ck's creative photography retreat) so if you are in town, or just want to stop by - mark it on your calendars. (we are just a few miles from the Doubltree Hotel where the event is.) We will also be giving away new limited editions prints again.

Also found these pics, i took them a while back while in san diego. Loved the way the books look covered in all the different papers. i think i see a few hambly designs in there.
i also had to take a pic of the mantle at my sister's place, so simple :)

Santa Clara Scrapbook Expo

The Santa Clara Scrapbook expo is this weekend, and since we aren't going to be there, we decided to open up our studio for shopping this Friday! So if you are heading to the bay area to check out the expo our studio is less than 3 miles away, so come stop by! We will also be giving away free limited edition papers (the newest designs) with every purchase. Plus there will be some extra limited edition prints for sale (including the CHA summer release). Do you see the stack of prints we have?? We'll also be selling some stickers, notepads, papers & overlays.

This has been one of the toughest decisions to make around here. The amount of talent in all the submissions really impressed us (there was a group of 6 of us looking at them all). It's really great to see how much Hambly has grown over the past few years, and we thank you for being a part of it.
Now let's announce the new Hamby Design Team!

a little mia

sorry for the lack of posts, after CHA- i drove out to Minnesota for a family reunion. i had good intentions to do a few posts along the way, but it just never happened. At the beginning of my trip I had a wonderful wedding shower while i was visiting in Chicago. Since i had some of the new papers with me, i used them to wrap my thank you gifts. The birdcages were a perfect touch for the books, and the frame wallpaper worked great for the name tags.
CHA was a fun show for us, as always it was great to see the response to the new designs. We also added a little something extra to the booth this year and brought the paint cans from the studio with us to have on display.

And i figured i'd share a few pics from the family reunion - we all meet every year at my great grandparents house out in a little town called Lynd.We have a weekend full of so much laughter, good food (lots of sweet corn, popcorn and the peanut butter chocolate sauce), and so much history and story telling. One of my gram's favorite thing to do is listen to "ten little fingers and ten little toes" on the Edison.  And one great discovery this year were letters from around the 1950's that my grandma, and great Aunt & Uncles would write back and forth called "round robins". My great Aunt Peg would send out the blank paper with these little illustrations for the all the letterheads about an event or something going on in one of their lives. Then they would write about it on the letterhead and send it back. Almost reminds me a little of the circle journals people do today.

...okay well i guess it's time to get back to catching up on many e-mails, the new DT and more

I've been getting very little Internet access here (we're staying at my grandmas and i've been trying to use the neighbors signal) and I keep getting kicked off before my posts are done. The designs below are "climbing vine" and "frame wallpaper". Hope I not overwhelming you guys too much. We also have some new photography inspired rubs and heart rub-ons which I'll try and take a picture of soon... And post it with a little giveaway :)
