i know you were probably hoping for some CHA peaks, but we have decided to start those on monday! (unless i break down and post sooner, there some good stuff we are releasing, and i can't wait to share). so for now i'll just post some pics from the weekend. kinda funny, my pics all have a lot of teal and green in them, starting with this one from music in the park in san jose. ....
i also started to register for my wedding..i was totally against getting any china, until i decided to mix and match a bunch of patterns (and brands) i figured this way i can continue to add vintage pieces to the collection ...i love the idea of nobody at the table having matching settings!
Oh and this is one of my latest estate sale finds, the very funky teal chair. It adds so much color to the room. we were dog sitting my parents dog, and he seemed to love the chair. Jovie wasn't sure what to think of him, she was watching his every move this weekend.
the weekend also consisted of lots of bbqing and hanging out by the pool. (which was nice, since i also got to run my kiln and make some necklaces for etsy, then i could go jump in the pool) Our friends dog also loved the pool- she jumped in like over 50 times, and enjoyed playing tug of war, while surfing on the pool mats. So much fun, we tried to have Jovie go swimming for the first time but she hated it ...kinda sad the long weekend is over, and now all i can think about is CHA stuff!!
wow, we have gotten over a few hundred submissions, and i have to saying we have been very impressed with the quality of work so far! we have some tough choices ahead of us. For those of you who applied you should have gotten a confirmation e-mail from us. We will be announcing the DT by August 1st,
Thanks everybody for your enthusiasm and hard work!
so there are going to be a lot of pics in this post! i just got back from a trip to san diego! i was only there for a few days, but really did so much stuff. i was originally just going doing to visit my sister and work on some wedding stuff, but of course we did lots more (even though the date is in Nov, still so much to do now). My sister just moved into a new place, so it was cool to see how she decorated it. (of course there was lots of little bits of Hambly around the place. (the clouds are salt and pepper shakers she got in ny, so it's like it's raining when you use it)She also has a collection of Hammerpress Posters, i might have to steal the way she framed them.
These little puppets also make me happy, it was part if the xmas gift zach and i sent her. love the Tenebaums.
And of course i spend some time shopping at the store where she works, everytime i visit (India Ink Papers), there are new things i notice and buy, i love all the details there- such eye candy!! I also ended up teaching a class at Ever After Scrapbooks, (thanks to everybody who came, since it was such a last minute class, such a fun group of girls!)
And one of the highlights of the trip was meeting with my sisters co-worker Alice and husband David, they are
designing these plastic/acrylic flowers for our wedding, i'll be using
them instead of real flowers for mine and the bridemaids bouquets and boutonnieres! They
are going to be so cool, i'm now looking for some cool vintage buttons
to put in the centers. i'll post pics in a few months when i get them.
we also hit some golf balls off
the roof of their home! It used to be a hotel, and that's AstroTurf you see coving the roof! I could so easily live there...
here are the names we picked to get some hambly goodies. please e-mail me your addresses when you get a chance
